Klosters skiing and winter offering terrain for everyone

Skiing

The resort is set over a large area and provides skiers and snowboarders with a solid 315km of pristine pistes. Also connected to neighbouring Davos, the total ski area will take you a number of years to fully explore.

Beginners can build their confidence on the quiet slopes and many gentle runs. Stick to the gradual slopes until ready to try some of the slightly steeper runs higher up the mountain.

Intermediate skiers can enjoy remarkably long descents where speed and technique can be mastered. Once ready to vary the terrain, there are numerous areas offering moguls, steeps and wooded areas to round out your skill set.

Advanced skiers and snowboarders can nip on and off the piste as they please. Enjoy the benefits of a more understated resort where fresh powder can be found for days, unlike more mainstream busy resorts.

For the freestyle enthusiasts there is a half pipe and 2 snowparks. Enjoy the smaller crowd and pick your lines uninhibited. Elysian Collection have partnerships with the best local ski schools and providers, ask your concierge for advice and price incentives.

Cross-Country Skiing

If you prefer to keep your skis a little more horizontal then Klosters is a great destination to do some cross-country skiing. There are 50km of trails available and any required equipment can be organised for you and delivered to the chalet.

Tobogganing

Neighbouring Davos is in fact the home of tobogganing, having held the first official race in the late 1800’s. Rent a sledge and experience the 3.5km fun-filled descent from Gotschnaboden middle station right into Klosters. Sledging is an ideal group activity and can be enjoyed by all ages.

Snow Shoeing

Whether you like to explore in solitude or have a guide lead the way, there is a plethora of mountain terrain that can be explored with a pair of snow shoes strapped on. The region is also known for its full moon snow shoe walks, a unique winter experience.

Ice Sports

With its roots to curling going right back into the mid 1800’s, the region offers curling and a handful of other ice sports suitable for small or large groups. Ice skating, ice hockey, Scottish curling and Bavarian curling all make for a joyous day out.

Ice Climbing

For the more challenge-oriented holiday maker you can vertically explore the frozen waterfalls of the Sertigtal valley. This frozen landscape will leave you speechless and likely quite exhausted after a challenging, but rewarding ice climbing excursion.
