Klosters summer mountain biking trails

Klosters summer itinerary offers the best of the best

Take advantage of the rural surroundings and immerse yourself among tranquil Swiss mountains where not a soul will be seen for miles. With 700km of trails varying from marked footpaths to muddy tracks through thriving green forests, these magnificent landscapes make for the ultimate hiking experience.

Mountain Biking

Regardless of whether you’re seeking adrenaline or a relaxed, scenic ride; the mountains in this region can offer whichever style of terrain suits. Families and groups can follow well-developed cycling trails through various landscapes. Mountain bikers can enjoy ease of transport as all mountain lifts can carry bikes. If you’re in for the adrenaline experience then take the 1,000 vertical metre freeride descent down the mountain.

For golfers of all ages and skill levels, Klosters offers a 9-hole course that offers a diverse game with a spectacular view. If 18-holes is more suited to your game, neighbouring Davos offers a professional course and driving range designed by internationally acclaimed architect Donald Harradine. If you really want to dedicate some time to the green then the surrounding Bündner area offers an additional 9 courses.

These scenic mountains aren’t just about the land – a short trip to Davos offers you a day out on the water for ages 6 and up. If you want to improve your knowledge or skills then take a lesson while you’re there. Boats can be hired and taster courses can also be organised for those looking to learn.

Water Sports Centre

For a more relaxed lake experience, the water sports centre has a lush sunbathing lawn to soak in some warm sunny rays. Also offering volleyball courts and pedalos, the whole group or family can get involved.

Paragliding and Hang Gliding

Take your pick from paragliding or hang gliding and soar like an eagle down to a soft, grassy meadow. Choose from multiple take-off locations and if you decide you’d like to learn more or start gliding on your own, taster courses and lessons can be arranged.

Rock Climbing

Choose from indoor or outdoor climbing, with both options catering for a variety of skill and experience levels. The equipment needed can be readily arranged for you, as well as a mountain guide if you’d like to explore some of mountains and rock faces within the region.

Botanical Gardens

If you’re in the mood for a relaxed, casual jaunt among 2,000 friendly plant species of various mountain regions from around the world, then the Alpinum Schatzalp is your ideal day out. Guided tours are available on certain days and you can also explore Alfred Vogel’s collection of plants for modern naturopathy.
