The Zermatt Folklore Festival

The Matterhorn in Summer

The Matterhorn Eagle Golf Tournament in Zermatt

The Matterhorn Eagle Golf Tournament is no ordinary golfing event but it certainly stays true to golf’s Scottish origin and takes place amidst the landscapes and terrain of the Alpine mountains.  The tournament will take place this year between 29th – 31st July in Zermatt and is a must for both the avid golfer and spectator as it gives all a chance to experience a real old fashioned game, based around the challenging obstacles of rocks, cliffs and uneven surfaces.  The 9 hole course occurs on this very unique exterior (you won’t find any fairways and mown lawns here), at 2500 metres above sea level combined with the backdrop of the most dazzling beauty of the Swiss Alps, where the Matterhorn itself is always in full view.  This is what makes The Matterhorn Eagle Golf Tournament such a pleasure to take part in and also a sheer delight to watch and if you are an ardent golfing fan then it is not to be missed!
