This winter has been even busier and better than last year’s, with our luxury ski chalets firmly established as the places to be in Zermatt, and with exciting opportunities for expansion…
This year our guests have again enjoyed the usual, and unsurpassable 7* star luxury of Chalet Maurice and Chalet Les Anges, gourmet deluxe food by Michelin star trained chefs Angeline Davies and John Gilbert, and fabulous skiing under the shadow of the imposing Matterhorn.
Chalet Maurice’s ‘We have been expecting you Mr Bond’ décor style, complete with private funicular lift through the mountain, has become synonymous with heliskiing adventures and cool cocktails, whilst Chalet Les Anges is the Zermatt party venue. This year Elysian Collection invited the Circus of Horrors to perform, famous live bands and well known DJs come as requested, and our favourite Zermatt jazz pianist made good use of the grand piano.
But cosy teas by the fire, a relaxing massage in the spa, and champagne in the Jacuzzi, served by our attentive but discrete staff are just some of the things that make our holidays a cut above the rest. It is our attention to detail; the little things, that our guests remember most. Without the show and the fuss, Elysian Collection will always make your holiday perfect.
If the snow conditions were bad elsewhere in the Alps, Zermatt always has snow, and this winter was no exception. Even as I write, on the 10th May, the snow on the glacier is in superb condition, and skiing is still possible down as far as Trockener Steg.
Our summer season opens on the 19th June, and we are looking forward to walking, high level hikes, climbing, mountain biking, outdoor yoga classes, paragliding, summer skiing, rafting and lazy lunches on the sun terraces of Zermatt’s famous gourmet restaurants.
