Autumn has come early, and this morning we woke up to snow on the lower mountain tops. The Matterhorn is covered in snow, as it has been for most of the summer. The local farmers tell us that this is a sign for a long, snowy winter.
That is great news! Zermatt opens for winter skiing on the 29th November, but if you can’t wait until then, the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise is open all year round. Conditions are perfect in the morning, with fresh snow keeping the pistes in tip top order.
We are looking forward to the winter ski season 2014-15.
